Fishing
Lakes and rivers that surround the Casentino valley will allow you practice your fishing technique. Among the most important of these lakes and rivers are:
Tripoli lake
On the road that leads to the Sanctuary of La Verna, a few minutes from La Dolce Vista, we find the lake of Tripoli. Particularly rich in fish (trout, sturgeon, carp, tench,eel, perch, bass and so on), it is nestled in a pineforest, perfect as a refreshing and ideal place for picnics and relaxation. In summer, it is also possible fish at night and you can practice no kill fishing. There is also a pond for children.
Troticoltura Puccini
The Troticultura Puccini is located in Papiano along the S.P no. 310 of Bidente, two kilometers from Stia, about fifteen minutes from the farm La Dolce Vista. Inside the plant fed by the clear waters of the river Staggia that pour down from the pristine slopes of the National Park of Casentino Forests, Mount Falterona and Campigna, you can buy or fish beautiful brown and rainbow trouts. The possession of the fishing license is not required and the admission is free!
Solano river
In Castel San Niccolò, on the stream Solano, there a National championship racing track. You can fish freely in the period allowed by the regional laws, as long as you have a regular license, with any type of rod (canes brook trout, fly, spinning) and with baits permitted by laws. It is fifteen minutes from the farm La Dolce Vista.
Corsalone river
In a stretch of the Corsalone river, a short distance from the village of Bibbiena, along the road that leads to the Sanctuary of La Verna, you can practice no kill fishing with the proper license. Near the Molino there is a collection point where at the end of the day, the permits with the number of catches made are mailed.
